Students visited Tetra Pak
On Monday, October 26, SI NFGL students visited the cradle of the well-known packaging company Tetra Pak, which was born more than 60 years ago in Lund. Since then the company has been developing and spreading fast through the world.
It was interesting to see the process from inside.
We visited two exhibition rooms – product room and eco room, and technical training center.
I was impressed to see Tetra Pak package for Ukrainian product in the first room.
But even more impressive was the corporate policy for sustainable development, safe environment and social impacts.
Thus, thanks to exclusive business mindset, Tetra Pak produces environmentally friendly goods, thinking about the consumer expectations and needs. For example, we saw special shaped packages for seniors and famous pyramid packages, which were invented here in Lund, for purposes to save space when transporting and sorting in the shelves in shops.
They’re also conducting social responsible business though effective monitoring of the value chain. “Being a sustainable company is not enough. We need a sustainable value chain” – was stated in the wall in eco-room.
So, during the visit, we got to know about CSR, sustainable development and innovations in practice.
Apart from that, we had a chance to meet new people and just have fun during the fika and lunch.
Thank you, SI!
